Affiliates Expanding Internationally

I received the latest copy of Revenue magazine a few days ago, and there is a decent article about Networks expanding Globally.  While we have seen the major networks go global over the past few years, I still feel Affiliates have not jumped on the wagon of expanding Globally.  I feel there is significant coverage of US & UK affiliates promoting both US and UK markets, however, once you hit the language barrier things really drop off, for instance in the AbeBooks programs there are very few affiliates from the US and UK who have expanded out to our French, German and Spanish programs, and vice versa as well, very few Continental (FR, DE, ES) affiliates expanding out to the UK and US.  From a management side I always try and push Global expansion to affiliates, at least fro them to give it a try in the other markets, I feel this could be easy money for the Affiliates.
